Malone BW_edited.jpg

Thomas ("Tom") Malone is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Precision TMS, with nearly three decades of experience in biomedical research and applying technology to improve healthcare. He is a former DOD researcher who utilized advanced neuroimaging techniques to visualize and study traumatic brain injury (TBI) and PTSD in military veterans. His main areas of expertise are neuroimaging, neuropsychological data analysis, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), particularly among U.S. military veterans.

Tom earned his bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, completed graduate work in Neuroscience at Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg, Germany as a visiting scientist, and holds an Executive MBA with an emphasis in International Business from Saint Louis University School of Business. He is CPR certified and has also earned his EMT license, which remains one of his favorite courses of study to date.

He has been the proud recipient of an American Heart Association Fellowship and has published in numerous journals over the years, including contributions to Tier 1 Journals such as Nature Neuroscience and PNAS.

He is past president and current board member of MEDLaunch, the biotech incubator at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, a founding member of the Acute Effects of Neurotrauma Consortium (AENC) at Ft. Leonard Wood, and is the co-founder of a medical device startup company. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the Clinical TMS Society, where he serves as a member of the Business, Legal, and Ethics Committee.
